Kia plans to launch 11 new electric cars

 

With the start of the new year 2020, Kia announced its new strategy to launch a group of electric cars, and with a huge investment amounting to $25 billion, as the Korean automaker announced its plan to launch 11 fully electric models by 2025.

 

The next electric car arrives in 2021, but we dont have much information about it. However, according to recent reports, the upcoming Kia will be based on the concept test car that was unveiled at the Geneva Show last year, and will be unveiled in 2021, and it is said that it will get a new name and will be placed on top of the Niro EV and the Soul EV in the company fleet.

 

It is worth mentioning that the new Kia electric car will be built on a new platform that it shares with Hyundai, which will be used in a group of powerful and large SUVs and sedans in the future, and in terms of specifications, Kia says that the electric range of its next car in 2021 will do 499 km for one charge, with a capacity to charge the car from 20 to 80% in about 20 minutes thanks to the 800V system.

 

Finally, Kia Europe's chief operating officer indicated that Kia may use Rimac's technologies as part of its $ 90 million investment in the high-performance electric car maker.
